- Page Views Report
This report gives a detailed analysis of the most commonly viewed pages on your website, the number of times each page
was viewed and the total time spent on each page. A high "Time on Page" may indicate content that is particularly interesting
to visitors.
- Traffic Source Report
This report provides an overview of the different kinds of sources that send traffic to your site. This report has 3 types of traffic sources:
- Direct Traffic - shows visits from people who clicked a bookmark to come to your site or, who typed your site URL directly into their browser.
- Referring Sites - shows visits from people who clicked through to your site from another site.
- Search Engines - shows visits from people who clicked through to your site from a search engine result page. For Ex. Google, Yahoo, MSN. This is further classified in 2 categories:
- Organic Traffic: This campaign can come from an unpaid search engine results link. Direct Traffic & Referring Sites are also considered as Organic Traffic.
- PPC (Pay Per Click) Traffic: This campaign can come from AdWords, paid search engine keywords, or paid ad campaigns from non-Adwords providers.
- Entry Phrases Report
This report provides information about the search phrases visitors are using into a search engine to get to your site. Those terms used are listed as "Entry Phrases" in this report. A high "Time on Site" against keyword or entry phrase may indicate that it is particularly interesting to & vastly used by visitors.
Basically your primary keywords should receive higher traffic than other ones. By analyzing this report from time to time you can know that what new keywords people are using to reach to your site. Also you can know the performance of each keyword, or which keywords are of more interest to visitors. This is further classified in 2 categories.
- Entry Pages Report
This report provides information about the number of times a particular page served as an entrance to your site. It also tells you how effectively does your landing pages entice visitors to click deeper into your site? If your entry page count is same as the number of bounces then it indicates that your landing page needs to be redesigned. You can lower bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to their associated ads and referral links and placing a clear call-to-action on each landing page.
- Exit Pages Report
This report provides information about how many times a particular page was the last one to be viewed by visitors; or in other words "From which pages do people exit your site?".
The significance of "Exits" varies according to each page. For example, it may be common for visitors to exit your site from a receipt or "thank you" page because they have completed a conversion activity. In contrast, a high number of "Exits" from a non-goal page (from a funnel page, for example) may indicate that the page is confusing, or that it generates user errors.
